As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at Hilla University, the College of Pharmacy held a scientific symposium entitled “Types of Therapeutic Tablets,” delivered by Pharmacist Haider Yassin, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy.
The symposium was attended by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy and a number of college professors. The symposium addressed the types of therapeutic tablets used, stating: “There are several types of therapeutic tablets (pill-formed medications) used to treat various health conditions.” He also explained that each type of tablet has unique characteristics that make it suitable for certain medical conditions or age groups. The appropriate type is chosen based on the patient’s health condition and treatment needs.
At the end of the symposium, the lecturer discussed the manufacturing of therapeutic tablets, emphasizing that it is a process that requires precision and high quality control.
Every step in these manufacturing processes is designed to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the tablets, while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards overseen by drug regulatory bodies.
