As part of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Pharmacy, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at Hilla University, the College of Pharmacy held a scientific symposium entitled “Fields and Types of Pharmacists.” The symposium was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Mansour, a lecturer at the College of Pharmacy. The symposium was attended by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy and a number of faculty members and students. The symposium addressed the concept of pharmacists’ fields, stating that pharmacists have multiple opportunities to develop their skills and work in diverse environments. It also highlighted the wide variety of fields of work for pharmacists, including public and private pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, scientific research, pharmaceutical marketing, and academic education, and explained each field. The symposium also addressed specialization in herbal medicines and nutritional supplements to provide alternative treatment solutions. At the end of the symposium, the lecturer addressed the field of managing or establishing pharmaceutical projects, such as medical warehouses or drug production lines.
